maybe it's just this one Applebees, cuz I used to like them...
I used to eat at Applebees a lot when I worked in the Manchester area. I tried the one here in Dover/Somersworth a few times. The last time I tried it was the last time I will go there. I had ordered a nice steak meal, cooked medium. When I got the meal and cut into the steak, it was very red inside but the thing that really got me was that the texture of the steak was more like the texture of a ripe pear... and kind of gelatinous. Seemed like they overdosed it on meat tenderizers or something. The manager offered to not charge me for it but no offer of a free meal for later or anything. Hit the 99 across the street for much better food and service. (Marc Deschenes, 11/20/2008)
